why lumina terra?

Our children are not only learning and growing, but they also feel the strong support of an educational community dedicated to inspiring them to achieve new goals every day.

Two Grades Higher, Naturally.

Children are far more capable than their academic results show. Every child can accomplish a lot more but our conventional systems hold back human potential. LT takes learning far deeper and forward.

What's Prevalent What's Different at LT
I follow a fixed syllabus. I master each level, then move to the next.
I switch subjects when the bell rings. I have time for deep. focused learning without rigid schedules.
I work on the same goals as the entire class. I work on my personal goals which are often above grade level.
I don't receive personal attention due to large class sizes. I work with peers in small groups which teachers can support better than big classes.
I make standard progress. I learn faster and make greater progress.
I learn concepts, not how to learn by myself. I learn how to learn, not just what to learn.
I hesitate to ask questions and don't always get the help I need. I feel free to ask all my questions and get support from peers and teachers.
I wait for teachers to tell us what next. A lot of my time is not utilized. I use every moment efficiently. This makes me at least two grades ahead.

Holistic Development

Lumina Terra deepens the desire to excel and do well. It nurtures a growth mindset and emotional well-being, while traditional methods often prioritize academic performance over personal development.

What's Prevalent What's Different at LT
I feel pressured to perform well. My well being could be given more importance. I perform better when my well-being is taken care of.
Competition stresses me. I give up when others perform better than me. I am motivated by visible daily growth I compete with myself. not others.
I depend on validation and feel motivated by external rewards like marks. I focus on self-motivation, not external validation.
My success is measured by marks or grades, not improvement. I am working for the tests. My success is measured by effort and progress. Each progress motivates me to learn more.
Mistakes are seen as failure. I am less likely to take risks. Mistakes are seen as learning opportunities. This encourages me to try new things.
I know most peers in my class by name. I have a few friends. I know everyone in my class as people, not just names. They are all my friends.

our educational model is designed for the 21st century

The Future Learning Model (FLM) is an overarching approach and framework for learning and teaching, encompassing nine key elements. These elements describe the type of learning that we value and develop throughout all our school stages and programmes.

The review of our Intelligent Classroom model led to the creation of the Lumina Terra Future Learning Model (FLM), stemming from the online learning and teaching experiences during the months of lockdown, when a distance educational model was implemented and new methodological formats, tools and ways of learning were adopted. The FLM takes into account the impact of this experience on the future and redefines the purpose of the school as a “place” to develop a much broader concept of learning that serves the needs of our Educational Community. To further explore these and other aspects of our approach to education, Lumina Terra set up a Think-Action Tank.

Educators who evolve with the times

Our team is highly experienced and innovative, they feel a true passion for learning and teaching and are aware of their role as mediators, guides and coaches, diagnosing students’ strengths and improvement opportunities, making them aware of new knowledge and fostering its understanding and transference to all walks of life, and favouring, at the same time, the individual attention over the entire the teaching process.

Our professionals are invited to participate in national and international conferences and lead numerous applied research projects.

our students learn with the best materials

Our students are the central focus, the centre stage, of our educational action, and to ensure they are the fulcrum of all our activity in any time and place they work in a personalised, physical, blended or virtual learning environment that includes over twenty different applications that help them to communicate more fluently, work collaboratively, carry out online experiments, collect their evidence for learning, understand their personal evolution and discuss it in an orderly and regular manner with their teachers and tutors.

ROOTS is, in this case, the personalised virtual workspace that places the student at the centre of everything. All our teachers design their teaching hours transversally integrating everything that has to do with digital skills and STEAMS skills, so that our students always work in a maker environment, in educational spaces that present challenges that they solve through the use of the most appropriate technologies.

we include 21st century skill learning in our curriculum

Our educational offer is not only focused on academic aspects. We encourage holistic learning where students have the opportunity to develop their passions and spend time, within school hours, doing different sports, exploring various artistic disciplines, as well as any other interest they may have. For this, we have created Empowerment Hubs, time slots within school hours for students to explore their interests.

Lumina Terra offers a holistic education that includes both academic and artistic aspects (art, music and drama) and sports, with special attention to the well-being of our entire educational community.
