Lumina Terra School of Nations Named Among Top 100 SDG Schools at Global Sustainability Awards 2026
Lucknow, 10 October 2026: Lumina Terra School of Nations has been named among the Top 100 SDG Schools across 65 countries at the Global Sustainability Awards (GSA) 2026. Principal Priya Chhatrawal received the honour on Saturday at Miranda House, University of Delhi. Lumina Terra is the only school from Lucknow honoured in the School category this year.
The awards recognise action on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and GSA 2026 named Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi as its chief guest. Schools are assessed on sustainability in teaching, green campus operations and work with the community. “This award belongs to our children, teachers and parents. It shows that caring for the Earth can be part of every school day,” said Ms. Chhatrawal.
The school sits next to Omaxe Palace, opposite Palassio Mall in Lucknow, and its children learn in circular spaces, including yurts and a zome, and play in natural playgrounds. It is also Lucknow’s first school with the Cambridge Early Years Programme, and it currently admits children aged 2+ to 12, with plans to grow into a CBSE K-12 school with an IB Diploma option.
